Inspiration for your road to the altar

I am extremely excited to be a part of The B-List again this year, which is in Washington, DC this time around (April 16-18th, 2010)! If you are a wedding vendor, you are invited to attend the meet + greet cocktail reception being held on Friday, April 16th at the Torpedo Factory in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia from 7 – 10 pm. The event is a great opportunity to meet and chat with all your favorite wedding bloggers in one place. For more information on registering to attend {and hurry because there are limited spaces!} please click here: http://theblist.eventbrite.com/. We hope to see you in DC next month!

Wish Upon A Wedding

March 1, 2010

I am incredibly excited to tell you all about Wish Upon A Wedding, the first and only wedding wish granting organization! The non-profit grants wishes for weddings across the nation to individuals with terminal illness…the concept being that two people in love shouldn’t be denied the chance to marry their soul mate, even if they only have a short time left to live.

Because I believe it in so much, I am also a member of the board for the Chicago chapter! You can read more about this meaningful organization below, but I want to let you know that if you’re interested in getting involved, there are numerous ways. This week we’re trying to raise awareness as much as possible, so blog and tweet away! Aside from that, donations are always welcome and we are in need of wish granters across the nation. Check out the website for more info on how you can help.

Are you in Chicago and interested in learning more about our chapter? You can follow us on facebook, and stay tuned for details on our upcoming launch party March 24th! Brides and vendors alike are welcome to join us and celebrate the launch. Please just email me if you have any questions.

Flower Dog Collars

December 10, 2009

I love these two adorable pups from Abigail and Drew’s wedding on WeddingChannel.com. And look at those flower collars! If you zoom in it looks like they are just flowers and berries, wrapped around a collar with floral wire (although that’s totally a guess). I am sure if you brought these pictures into your florist they could create something similar for the furriest member of your family! {Images by Recherche Photography}
