Inspiration for your road to the altar

Hello, friends! I hope you had a great weekend, and are starting your Monday off on the right foot. Apologies for the smattering of posts last week – it was one of those weeks where I looked up and suddenly it was Friday. Part of the distraction is our house hunting in the Charlotte area, so it’s a perfect coincidence that today’s wedding took place in Charlotte! {Want to read about our house hunting and nesting adventures? They’re all being documented on With This Nest}

Erin and Russell were married at the gorgeous Providence Country Club in North Carolina, which provided such a classic setting to the day. They opted to enhance the beautiful venue with a simple color palette of black, white and gold which was truly stunning. There is something about a black tie event that always makes me smile! There were cigars and sushi to enjoy at the reception, and guests sat comfortably on beautiful gold chiavari chairs. Thanks to Andrew Bryant Photography for sending over all the lovely images!

I was looking through my archives to help someone with a color inspiration question the other day, and I came across this board that I originally posted in 2009. I really love the simplicity and the preppy vibe, and the colors could translate to any season!

How beautiful is this beach inspired table from Project Wedding? I love the simple white tablecloth with the blue and white ticking stripe runner, and the hydrangeas are perfection. This would be perfect for a summer bridal shower but could easily be used under a white tent for a reception!
