Inspiration for your road to the altar

Terrain Styled Real Wedding

November 16, 2010

Anna and Chris had such a beautiful wedding, that incorporated both tuxedos and personal DIY style all in one event. Anna is a textile designer, so the couple utilized gorgeous quilts and fabrics throughout the event. The table assignments were listed on a giant framed chalkboard and a bluegrass band entertained guests during the cocktail hour. The couple utilized simple metal lanterns as centerpieces (genius) and had a local baker create pies made from family recipes. They helped develop the aesthetic and decor for the event from a designer at Terrain, which is surely why I love every bit of this wedding!

You all are going to love Travis and Christina’s beautiful California wedding – I think it might be one of my favorites this year! Not only is the wedding gorgeous, but it was sent over from a pair of my favorite photographers, The Youngrens. The couple decided to offset the beautiful rustic setting with gorgeous teal bridesmaids dresses, and honored their venue at The Temecula Creek Inn with wine related favors. The bride’s father handmade individual wooden wine bottle stands for each guest – maybe the best favor I’ve seen in a long time! All of the stationery was handmade, and each table number featured gorgeous calligraphy and flourishes. And I am sure it won’t come as a shock but I love the green and white florals, created by the talented Magnolia Flower Shoppe. A huge “thank you” to The Youngrens for sharing their beautiful work! You can see more images from Travis & Christina’s wedding on their blog, here and here.

It’s officially Fall (Does it feel like where you are? Because it certainly doesn’t here)! I was excited when Sara France sent along Reiley and Scott’s lovely outdoor wedding, because it is the perfect seasonal inspiration. They opted for an autumnal color palette of red and orange, and held both the ceremony and reception outdoors. Vintage suitcases and postcards served as a focal point of the reception and were also used as escort cards. I love the glass vessels holding notes for the couple, and the chocolate tiered cake looks delicious!
