Damask Birthday Party
July 1, 2008
I received an email last week from a reader, Marie-Eve, who used a damask motif to throw a 50th birthday party for her mother. And what a lucky mother she is! Marie-Eve used the image above as inspiration for the whole theme, starting with these beautiful invitations:
She decided to use black, white and yellow as her color palette and incorporated some yellow lanterns into the decor. She even made damask drink umbrellas! How great are these? I would say that they are my favorite part, if it weren’t for the favors…
Enclosed in this adorable package were individual tubes of chap stick! Who doesn’t love that, I ask you? I would be (maybe a little overly) excited to get that as a favor at any party.
Both cute and useful, so well done. You can see all of the pictures of people enjoying the party here. Thanks for sharing, Marie-Eve!
