Inspiration for your road to the altar

Pear Tree Greetings

December 10, 2014

Here’s a confession that will shock no one who knows me – I am a perfectionist.  That means for birthdays and holidays I generally create my own cards because I can never really find anything that meets exactly what I have in mind.  But this year, I am so happy to say that I ordered our Christmas cards from Pear Tree greetings!  They have so many adorable options that it took me a long time to decide which to actually use.  Ultimately I went with some one of their foil stamped cards (oh how I love gold foil) and couldn’t be happier with how they turned out.

Have you ordered your holiday cards yet?  Not only do they have a great promotion going on right now with site wide savings, there are several cards you can get delivered in just two days!

Cristin and Mike were married this past spring, in a beautifully simple Michigan wedding. The bride is a DIY enthusiast and made all of the decor (including the adorable centerpieces) as well as her own invitations.  One of her friends even made the gorgeous cake!  Lovely aesthetics and color palette aside, I think it’s fabulous that Cristin’s brother stood up as her “bride’s man” versus being a groomsmen.  I always love it when couples make a wedding truly their own!

We’ve been married for almost six years now, and I still love my engagement ring as much today as when I got it.  My husband and I picked out and designed my ring somewhat together (I pointed to some designs I really liked, he asked a few questions and took it from there).  But whether you plan to drop some subtle hints or let your future fiancé pick out your future gems him/herself, it’s always fun to look at engagement rings!
