Inspiration for your road to the altar

Adrienne and Evan opted for a unique wedding day schedule, beginning with a morning ceremony under Boulder’s famed Flatirons on the lawn at Chautauqua Park. Immediately following the ceremony, they treated their guests to coffee and pastries from their favorite local coffee shop and a ride back downtown from Boulder’s own Banjo Billy Bus Tours. The couple climbed in a pedicab decorated with a sign hand-made by a close friend and toured around downtown making a stop at the farmers’ market before returning to the hotel as well.

Guests were let loose for the afternoon, free to explore the downtown, surrounding trails and all that Boulder has to offer before an evening reception that was held at the landmark Hotel Boulderado. The bride’s love of lavender flowers infused the day; she chose décor and dresses that fit the mood of the morning ceremony, and the two had their cake created with a fondant replica of the lace adorning Adrienne’s dress.

I am sure by now you all know that I adore Molly of m three studio, so I was thrilled when she sent over another of her gorgeous weddings for me to share with all of you. Jenny and Dennis were married this summer, in the Chicago suburbs. I am mildly obsessed with Jenny’s gorgeous ruffled dress and I love the image below of it lounging on the couch by itself! The couple opted for a palette of bright pink, purple and silver, with their bridesmaids wearing different versions of a lovely deep gray dress. Be sure not to miss the ring bearer sequence below – I always love a good ring bearer/flower girl freak out! You also can see more photos from the day on Molly’s blog.

{P.S. Molly and her husband Ken have also just launched a new business, Blank My Walls. If you’re looking for some affordable, limited edition photographs, look no further.}

Real Wedding: Bend, Oregon

October 7, 2010

Katie and Brian’s wedding day started out with rain but cleared up in time for a lovely outdoor ceremony. The landscape blended perfectly with their vibrant color scheme, which translated especially well into their paddle fan programs! The couple was engaged at the Eiffel Tower, so incorporated a touch of France into their escort card holders as a nod to their engagement. Katie and Brian gave away “nuptial ale” as favors, complete with a picture of them on the label and personalized pint glasses. And don’t miss the texture in their beautiful wedding cake…love it!
