Inspiration for your road to the altar

Cristin and Mike were married this past spring, in a beautifully simple Michigan wedding. The bride is a DIY enthusiast and made all of the decor (including the adorable centerpieces) as well as her own invitations.  One of her friends even made the gorgeous cake!  Lovely aesthetics and color palette aside, I think it’s fabulous that Cristin’s brother stood up as her “bride’s man” versus being a groomsmen.  I always love it when couples make a wedding truly their own!

I have to admit, Heather and Jason’s gorgeous Georgia wedding had so many beautiful images it was hard to narrow them down for this post!  The pair were married in a private house overlooking the water and Stephanie W Photography did such an incredible job of capturing their day.  The bride custom made the backdrop for their photobooth and added several DIY touches to both her gown and shoes.  And be sure not to miss the adorable flower girl and ring bearer – nothing says “cool” like two ties at once.

DIY Rustic Wedding Inspiration

Christina and Scott planned the most adorable outdoor wedding last September, full of easily managed DIY projects.  There were chalkboard frames with messages for the guests throughout the reception, mason jar candle holders, and the cutest photobooth “wall.” I love the idea of including family photos to make it look like a gallery wall!  And I especially love the wishing rock idea, as we used something similar at our wedding.  Christina and Scott took it a step further though and had guests actually write messages on the rocks, giving their advice for a “rock solid” marriage.  So cute!
