Inspiration for your road to the altar

I was looking through my archives to help someone with a color inspiration question the other day, and I came across this board that I originally posted in 2009. I really love the simplicity and the preppy vibe, and the colors could translate to any season!

One of my favorite blogs is A Thing For… There isn’t any text or stories, in fact there are few words at all. But the inspiration boards posted there are all so lovely that I’ve looked through the entire blog more than once. I thought the board above would be a perfect starting point for a wedding – isn’t that headpiece fabulous?

A few weeks ago I received an email from a reader who is planning a vineyard wedding. While she wanted to use a yellow and gray palette, she also wanted to incorporate some pink into the day to add in a garden-esque vibe. It was a little hard to find images to fit into the palette but I have to say that I love the results! I’ve always been a fan of yellow and gray, but normally I’ve seen more of a marigold shade so I really like the light buttery yellow in this board. What do you think? Are any of you using a similar palette?
